Being a working mom requires you to have very good management skills in order for us to be able to do a lot of things in our plate.  Below are some of the practical tips in order for us to get started.

Tip # 1 :  Get the right amount of sleep– A lot of working mothers do often end up tired, cranky and exhausted on a daily basis because of this one major reason which is “lack of sleep”.  Keep in mind that we are human beings and not robots, so as adults, we need to have at least 7 hours of beauty rest every night in order for us to be more productive and effective on the next day.


Tip # 2 : Work on a checklist- since most mothers have a lot of responsibilities and chores that needs to be done on a daily and weekly basis, it is very important that we stay organized and be able to manage our time in order to avoid setbacks.  Keep a notebook or journal and write down your to do list at home and in the office. At the end of the day, you would be quite surprised to realize that you have accomplished a lot of important things for the day.

Whether you are at home or at the workplace, you have to learn how to live by the saying “together, let us divide and conquer” by learning to accept your limitations and start delegating small tasks to your kids, husband or colleagues. If your kids are old enough to do simple chores such as make simple sandwiches for their lunch, load the dishwasher, take out the trash and use the vacuum cleaner. Simple things or chores that are delegated to others would really make a lot of difference in your daily routine. It also teaches your children the value of teamwork and responsibility.  Delegating tasks to workmates or subordinates will also help uplift their morale as employees.
